Body Language

Today, I studied about body language in my class.
What do you think of a Japanese one? For example bow(おじぎ).
When you meet someone first time, what will you do?
In Japan, most of the people bow and say "konnitiwa" or "doumo."
I heard that people shake their hands in America.
So in class I practiced shaking hands with my friends!

Also, what will you do when you beckon someone?
In india, people make a movement with their head.
I think it is very intersting.
and people in india use their chin when they point at something.

There are different gesture all over the world.
I wanna listen your opinion.

good bye!

In America we do almost the same thing as Japanese people when we beckon someone; instead of having our palm facing the ground, we turn it to face the sky when we move our hand. Also, when women laugh in the United States they don't put their hand in front of their mouth.
In terms of social and business settings, making direct eye contact and shanking hands are very important.
